(Bosnian: Jablaničko jezero) is a large artificially-formed lake on the Neretva river, right below Konjic where the Neretva briefly expands into a wide valley. The river provided much fertile, agricultural land before the lake flooded most of the valley. The lake was created in 1953 after construction of a high gravitational hydroelectric dam near Jablanica in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. The lake has an irregular elongated shape. Its width varies along its length. The lake is a popular vacation destination in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Swimming, boating and especially fishing are popular activities on the lake. There are 13 types of fish in the lake’s ecosystem. Many weekend cottages have been built along the shores of the lake.

As our tour continues you will manage to enjoy in one of the most beautiful natural surroundings. After we pass Lakes, Neretva canyon, Mostar region we will arrive to Međugorje. Our Lady of Medjugorje (also called Queen of Peace) is the title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary by those who believe that she appeared to six Herzegovinian children in Medjugorje, Bosnia and Herzegovina (at the time in SFR Yugoslavia). The visionaries often refer to the apparition as the “Gospa” which is Croatian for “Lady”. On June 24, 1981, young Mirjana Dragicevic and Ivanka Ivanković reported seeing an apparition of the Virgin Mary in a village in what is now Bosnia and Herzegovina. The following day another vision was reported, this time also by four other young people:, Marija Pavlović Jakov Colo, Vicka Ivanković, and Ivan Dragicevic. The children claim that they saw an apparition on the hill Crnica (on the place called Podbrdo); the alleged apparition was a white form with a child in her arms. Surprised and scared, they did not approach. The next day at the same time four of the youths returned, and were later joined by the other two. For several years the six visionaries reported seeing daily apparitions from the Virgin Mary and Medjugorje became crowded with pilgrims. It has been reported that Our Lady of Medjugorje has been appearing daily to three of these visionaries ever since, some say that they have stopped having daily apparitions.

In Mostar we will explore the city, in cc 2 hours of walking you will manage to experience life (cultural diversity) and sites of Old town, Old Bazaar, History, Custom made production, the best places for taking a photo and the most important site Old Bridge (history rise and fall, again rises as New/Old Bridge). For our guests we always adjust the tours pace and trying to achieve requirements, so we give option to our guest, free time as much they want, or just to enjoy in the most beautiful sunsets with coffe above the Old bridge. After Mostar and Sunset, it is time to go back to Sarajevo.

Konjic is well known and famous town from the history days-„ 17th century“ 6-arch Old Bridge (Kriva Ćuprija) over green river Neretva, standing till WW2’s last day and during the Nazi withdrawal when they decide to destroy the bridge.
