SARAJEVO ⇄ SPLIT – HERZEGOVINA ADVENTURES

On our first short stop in town Konjic, you will manage to feel Hercegovina climate and to learn a unique history of the place. Konjic is well known and famous town from the history days-„ 17th century“ 6-arch Old Bridge (Kriva Ćuprija) over green river Neretva, standing till WW2’s last day and during the Nazi withdarwal when they decide to destroy the bridge. Yugoslavia times, top secret mystery- Tito’s Underground Bunker and today everyone knows the town for most famous white water rafting at river Neretva. As our tour continues you will manage to enjoy in one of the most beautiful natural surroundings, river Neretva, lakes, canyons all the way to Mostar and more.

Jablaničko Lake (Bosnian: Jablaničko jezero) is a large artificially-formed lake on the Neretva river, right below Konjic where the Neretva briefly expands into a wide valley. The river provided much fertile, agricultural land before the lake flooded most of the valley. The lake was created in 1953 after construction of a high gravitational hydroelectric dam near Jablanica in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. The lake has an irregular elongated shape. Its width varies along its length. The lake is a popular vacation destination in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Swimming, boating and especially fishing are popular activities on the lake. There are 13 types of fish in the lake’s ecosystem. Many weekend cottages have been built along the shores of the lake.

On the way we will have a short stop at Jablanica town, where you will discover a WW2 story of-Neretva Battle, and why the town is famous today among the locals and how they prepare famous roasted lamb on the spit. After Jablanica we will continue ride through beautiful river Neretva canyon all the way to Mostar.

Mostar is well known gem of Hercegovina, City of bridges-Mostar. In Mostar we will explore the city, in 2 hours of walking you will manage to experience life (cultural diversity) and sites of Old town, Old Bazaar, History, Custom made production, the best places for taking a photo and the most important site Old Bridge (history rise and fall, again rises as New/Old Bridge). On the end of the tour in Mostar you will learn and feel a life of city (how was it during the War situation and after) and how the locals live today. For our guests we always adjust the tours pace and trying to achieve requirements, so we give option to our guest, free time as much they want, or just to enjoy in the most beautiful view with coffe above the Old bridge. Next destination after short driving is town Blagaj, where we will have a lunch break.

Enjoying in amazing scenery of Buna river and tasting the local food (special trout-Blagaj Way and local Hercegovina delicacy) and drinks (domestic home made drinks & wine),we will have more energy for new adventures. Afer lunch we will explore Blagaj town and World’s the most beautiful spring of river Buna. Below a few hundred meters there is a cave with Karst could Spring of river Buna (2C- 6C) which during the summer period it pumps cc 40000 liters per secund, natural clean & drinkable water wonder. Under the rock, just next to the spring of river is a home to Blagaj Tekke – Dervish house. It is most likely that is dating pre or early Ottoman era, from early 16th century. This place is a unique sacral-residential example of Islamic architecture in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Coming to the residence is a unique place, where you can learn more about history and Dervish custom & life in Bosnia & Hercegovina. “Tekija” is place where Muslim travelers can pray and hosted 5 times a day and they can be attended today, if they wanted. After short driving we will arrive in to Old Town Počitelj.

Old town Počitelj which is positioned right above Neretva river,so everyone who pass near, have to stop and visit the town. On our visit, we will have a coffe moments, then one hour easy uphill walking and discover the 600 years old history of town(medieval,Ottoman period till present days), the remains of the fortress & sites like Hajji Alija Mosque, Gavrankapetanovic Tower & Clock Tower.

Kravice is a waterfall on the Trebižat River in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is 10 kilometres south of Ljubuški and 40 kilometres south of Mostar.
Its height is about 25 metres and the radius of the lake in the base of the waterfall is 120 metres . Kravice is a popular swimming and picnic area and, during the summer, it is frequently visited by tourists from Mostar, Medjugorje and Dubrovnik. The Kravice Falls area also has a little cafe, a rope swing, a picnic area, and a place to camp. The best time of year for visiting is during the springtime when the fall is at its fullest and the arid landscape turns a bright green. During the high season, various restaurants in the vicinity of the waterfalls mostly offer grilled dishes and fish specialties. Near the Kravice Falls is also a small grotto with stalactites made of calcium carbonate, an old mill and a sailing ship.
